THADDEUS Scholarship Updates from Haven of Hope Academy

Dear Prayer Partners,
We are glad to to share with you a few testimonies from a few past THADDEUS Scholarship beneficiaries.

The scholarship made it possible for me to remain at Haven of Hope Academy, a place that had already become an important part of my life. I had adjusted to the academic culture, the expectations, the people, and the environment itself. Being able to continue my studies with the scholarship helped me perform well academically and grow within a system that consistently pushed students to do better.

In retrospect, I realized those years influenced me more than I understood at the time. The later years of high school are a period when students are still forming habits, building confidence, and figuring out how they see themselves, and I was fortunate to spend that time in an environment that challenged me positively in all three.

& Surgery University of Jos

I’m currently in year 3 studying Medicine and Surgery at the University of Jos, and a lot of the adaptability and academic foundation I rely on today were built during those years.

I was a scholarship recipient at Haven of Hope Academy. Looking back, I consider each of those years a genuine gift. The THADDEUS Scholarship didn’t just support my education financially; it gave me the chance to remain in an environment that shaped who I am.

The scholarship stands as one of the most significant influences on my academic journey. The culture, the people, the expectations, and the environment all worked together in ways I can’t fully express. I’ve grown not just academically, but as a person grounded in both faith and purpose.

Those years left a deeper mark on me than I realized. I built habits that have stayed with me, formed meaningful relationships, grown in confidence, and developed a clearer sense of identity. I was fortunate to be in a place that challenged me in the best possible way.

I am in my first year studying Law at the University of Jos, and I can say with confidence that I am off to a strong start. The THADDEUS Scholarship was a privilege I carry with
deep gratitude.

Thank you!
