Ghana Water Project! A Flow of Hope and Healing

Mercy Missions

Dear Prayer Partners,
We are thrilled to share with you the unfolding story of God’s work in Ghana.

As we travel to villages and cities in Ghana proclaiming the good news of God’s redeeming grace, our hearts have been deeply moved by the physical needs that so many communities grapple with each day.

One such need is the lack of clean and accessible water. In several regions, families, especially women and children walk long distances in search of water that is often unsafe and unsanitary.

This harsh reality has weighed heavily on us and compelled us to respond. In the last edition of IOI’s Harvest Highlights magazine, we shared a heartfelt call: the need to drill fresh water wells and install reverse osmosis systems for communities in desperate need. Today, we rejoice to report that by God’s abundant grace and provision, that call is already bearing fruit. In July alone, four communities were blessed with clean, safe water:

  • Adudornu: The reverse osmosis system was successfully repaired, restoring clean, safe water to the community
  • Meyikpor: A brand-new reverse osmosis system was installed, providing clean, fresh water to the people
  • Otrokpor: A deep water well was drilled, providing a reliable source of clean water where none existed before
  • Adefer: The mechanization of an existing borehole has greatly increased access and availability of water, serving more people with less strain.

God willing, we will start the Sunyani water project soon. We are deeply grateful to the Lord for His provision and faithfulness in making these projects a reality. There are many other communities in Ghana that are plagued with water scarcity, and we trust in God’s continued provision and guidance as we seek to reach out to some of them.

Thank you for your continuous support.
